Power FC Quick explanation of pressure values
Quick explanation of pressure values
So my car is running really lean due to a new turbo and I just need to get the values to a good level so I can get the car to a tuner. I have a datalogit which makes things easier but I just need a quick clarification on how to read the map. I get the N is RPM and the numbers make sense there but I'm confused on the pressure (P) numbers. They range for 400 to 8000 going up in increments of 400. How do I figure out which on corresponds to 0 psi and so forth. My car is fine below -10 psi but anything above that is rather lean and I'd like to just raise my values for anything above 2000 RPM and -10 psi.
Years ago I posted about the stock map sensor values for scale and offset were wrong and that the PFC or Datalogit displayed incorrect boost values.
I no longer have my original accurate tested values for the stock MAP REF TABLE, but do have them for using the stock map sensor in the real world.
The PFC will start to use the next P Row for boost at about .25 PSI before the row. Thus for running boost of X directly in the middle of the row to reduce feed over, that row has to be set at "X - .25 ABS".
Thus my attachment is set for a max of 16 psi in 2 psi rows for 12 - 16 psi boost.
