I think I brought this up a month or two ago although I was asking about what peoples maps were set up for on the list. What I meant then and Chuck asked or posted a week or two ago was about the pressure settings in the cells. Roy asked about timing settings for his 3 bar map sensor, well what about pressure settings for the 3 bar, how does it adjust for the 3 bar. It would obviously have to be less precise in that now the 20 pressure cells are being used for more than the 15 that you get it set up for on the 2 bar sensor. Sure the thing can extrapolate inbetween the points but you are still losing some accuracy in tuning.

For example

2 bar pressure cell 17 is 180000 on my car
pressure cell 18 is 190000

on a 3 bar set up for 18 to 20 psi of boost
what pressure differences would a person use?

pressure cell 17 might now be 190000
pressure cell 18 might now be 200500 or some other pressure value

the same can be said of the cells leading up to pressure cell 17
before you have 17 cells covering values up to 180000, now you have those same 17 cells covering up to 190000. Some accuracy from cell to cell pressure wise is lost since it covers a larger area.

Tim, I believe the 20 x 20 grid will actually be a bigger grid with the new map sensor.
