PowerFC safe/limp mode reset?

Is there a safe/limp mode in the PFC? If so how do you reset it without losing tuning info?
As soon as the car sees boost it kills the ignition timing to zero.

Unfortunatly the car is a boosted honda but im hoping this is a generic PFC function... I posted here as its a dedicated PFC forum. Dont slap me too hard please. Ive tried honda places but no joy.

Any help appreciated.

The PFC does NOT have a limp home or safe mode, at least not on the RX-7 version.

Perhaps your PIM scale is way off.

Just found there was no limp/safe mode and yup it was the pimm screen.. it was set to "option 3" should have been "normal" funny though all the values are the same in all options...

Thanks rynberg

Only the "NORMAL" map works for our stock cars unless a setup for a 3 bar or something else is done under one of the OPTIONS. When you go into one of the optional ones and come out, it turns it on. But since it does not work, the PFC goes into limp home mode just as if the map sensor was bad or disconnected.

You then have to go back into normal and out of it to turn it back on.

YES it has a limp home mode.

Many of us did the same thing when the PFC came out in 1999.
