Power Fc Users! I Need Your Help...

OK, Here's the scenario....My FD has been sitting in Arizona for 3 years with a blown motor...I finally got enough money to get her back up and running and now, after 3 weeks, my swap is complete. I drove the car with the stock ECU after the swap and she was running strong with no problems. Thennnn, out of the blue, my shipping company calls and says they'll be here in two hours to pick it up. I wasn't expecting them 'til next week! Anyhow....I had to finish wiring my Defi setup and when that was done, I plugged in my new Power FC. Then i get a call from the carrier driver and he is up the street waiting for me. Sooooo, i start the car and she idles at about 2000 RPM'S for 3 minutes then settles down to 900 RPM. Everything is cool. I back out, put her in 1st gear and head off to meet the shipping truck. Now my car starts whining like **** as if there is a vacuum leak somewhere going from 900 RPM to about 2300. (Keep in mind, I'm scramblin' here, am pissed, only drove it about a mile and didn't have time to diagnose fully, so i may be off a couple hundred RPM's)..But then when i get to the carrier, i turn her off and start her again momentarily. She idles fine! Then i give it some gas and there goes the fluctuation again: 900-2300. What the hell is going on?! Is it running in limp mode? Does it need to be tuned?...The Power FC comes with an FD base map by default, so it should be straight....When my car arrives in Fairfax, the first thing I'm going to do is plug my stock ECU back in and see if the problem persists. If it does, there is obviously a vacuum leak somewhere, but this upcoming week of transport is gonna have me frettin' b/c I want to know what is wrong. Anyone experience symptoms like this when they first plugged in their Power FC??????....Pleeease help me relieve my stresses!.....

When you read the instruction manual you'll see that you need to follow a 30min procedure to let the PFC 'learn' about your car.

I can't read Japanese and there was a sense of urgency at the time.....What should I do to let it "learn" about the car, or is it too late?

Ok.

First 10 minutes idle with no air no ac.

Next 10 minutes with full air.

Last ten minutes constant throttle.

That is if I remember correctly. Also you will need to cut certain wires.... I have the diagram if you want it.

Man I'm A Schmucklefuck!....in My Hurried Attempt To Install My Power Fc Before I Put The Car On The Truck, I Didnt Even Look At The Directions, As I Was Under The Impression That It Was Plug N Play. I Went To Fd3s.net And There Are A Few Ecu Wires That You Must Cut As Dradon Stated! That Explains The Shittiness......i Was Unable To Find A Credible Diagram For Cutting The Wires. Please Forward That Diagram When You Get A Chance Dradon, And Thanks Again!!!.....ben

You still need to make sure you do the idle learn process, since that appears to be the actual problem your having....
