Power FC problems(i have searched)

Ok guys. got my powerfc new for my australian spec FD(i think is similar to us spec).

I cut 3 out of the 4 wires it says to cut as the 4th wire(being the EGR switch) dosnt match up with the wire on my aus spec harness.

I did the install when the car was cold.(i adjusted the idle screw under the elbow as dale clark suggested and read his manual 5 times).
Plugged it in, did the all data rest thingy.
Started it up idled perfect at 1200rpm couldnt be happier. as it warmed up idle dropped to 800rpm and everythign was looking good. idle started to get abit lumpy, anyways i ignored it. waited 10 minutes after it was warm, switch the rear defroster on and left it for 10 minutes. switched it off. put air con on (but that didnt work at all, i know how to fix it but yeh it didnt work but i just left it on anyway).

After doing all that it was idling, ok, abit lumpy but ok. I then took it for a drive(no boost just cruising it) and it seemed ok. Backfiring alittle on back off but other then that working ok.

I then switched the car off and switched it back on. Idle went up to 1500rpm and sat their. wouldnt come back down no matter what i did. drove it around etc and it would stay at 1500rpm etc(wasnt sounding good either).

i dont know what im doing wrong? can anyone point it out for me?

Are you sure the Australian spec car is similar to the US spec? I was under the impression that it was the same as the Japanese spec.....
Might explain a few things if it is

Definitely not like JAP spec.

the aus spec has AWS that needs to be cut as well.

The AWS does not need to be cut. Instead, remove the AWS and block it off. All in all this is a superior mod. Please do some thinking!

Id rather not have to remove it.
Why is it a superior mod?

Why does the car idle perfect on first start up, then get stuck on next start up?

Find a Aussie manual which I imagine is like the Jap version except in English.
This site only has leads to the USA version manuals.
Have you asked any of the Aussie or N. Z-landers about it?

Just incase anyones curious, i did eventually figure out the problem.

The power fc over 110 degrees seems to go into a funny high idle mode.
Just by my luck everytime id switch the car and start it up again car would get hot really fast and make the power fc do funny things.

their was a problem with fans and cooling system. Fixed that and power fc worked perfect.
And i did cut 3 wires.
