power FC problems!

Here's what happened

-i resetted (initialized) the power FC
-After performing the ecu reset procedure by apex, the idle just stays at 1500 rpm, never below it.
-the car just stalls when i come to a stop, the idle just falls off below normal levels and it stalls.
-And then after reset procedure, after turning the car off and turning it back on, the car doesn't run right again, as if the ecu never learned any settings.

I don't know what's going on and how to fix it. has anyone had the same problems? ANY HELP is APPRECIATED
thanks

First off, why did you reset it the PFC, and was it originally tuned for your car?

Now since you have done this, most likely it is not set up properly for your engine.
I suggest you find someone locally with a PFC and compare all the basic maps.
There is too much to to be discussed on a forum.

Hello cewrx7r1,

NeedFD's a good buddy of mine and we were trying to figure this unit out for a good part of yesterday.

He recently purchased the unit off someone that had this PFC tuned to compensate for his several mods. I dont remember all the mods, but it was along the lines of intake, exhaust, midpipe, downpipe, fuel pump and aftermarket intercooler. He told us that all this was tuned on top of the base PFC program thus re-initializing the unit would allow NeedFD to use it on his pretty-much stock FD (he has HKS intakes).

The maps on his unit match those maps posted on this site:
http://rx7.homeip.net/pfc/
for "baseline".

I understand that there's a lot of complexities that are hard to discuss thoroughly on a forum. We were hoping that since NeedFD is basically on the "just-started" steps of setting up this PFC, there might be others that have run into similar issues and maybe they can give us a tip or two.

I've experienced my share of computers (efi pms, dsmlink, haltech, conZult, jwt, hondata) and this is by far the most picky one I've ever encountered.

Thanks for the reply and any future assistance you might be able to lend us.

are any of the sensors highlighted on the sensor/switch screen? Did the car run before with the other map or was it reset then the car was turned on?

i have almost the same problem i just installed a new engine and it starts but it wants to stall after it warms up , it starts at 3,000rmp then drops normally untill 1,000 and then it wants to shut off if i don't give it gas, i think my problem is with my ignition and i was wondering if i just needed to replace the coils instead of the lead coil pack and the trailing coil pack , or if i can just get away with replaceing one or the other. i am going to do a continuity test later on during the week i just need some one elses opinion on the subject
