Hi Chaps,

I have an apexi power fc pro, which has the dealer 8 digit string set.
I cannot get any car to run with this ecu unless I have the map it came with loaded. I believe the apexi pro on a 92 car has a chip. If I remove this chip will be a stock power fc again with dealer string removed? if so anyone knwo which chip it is I remove, or any other way of clearing out the dealer string that's been entered?

With a datalogit, you can clear out the dealer string. That is one of the first things they say to do with the datalogit.

 

Would you mind taking the time to tell me how I can do this please. As I have been waiting over a good 7-8 months to get on the fd3s datalogit yahoo group with no joy as yet.

If you remove the chip...power fc pro will not work! AP-Engineering replaced stock power FC chip with their chip. Just get a datalogit and load or tune a map.
