I recently purchased a used to known good condition PFC from a member on the board. I finally got around to installing it but the damn thing wont turn on, at least not properly...

The power fc does not turn on until the key is turned from the "on" position BACK! to acc. It only stays on for 1-2 seconds and then turns off again. Fuel pump does not prime and basically nothing happens.

Have I done something wrong? I just mounted it, plugged it in, grounded it and turned the key on. My car had no ecu installed when I purchased it, did I get some of the plugs wrong or something? I'd think it wouldn't power up like it does if that was the case though..........

 

If this happened right after installing the PFC, check PFC wiring ground wires.
Do the headlights pop up and turn on?

 

Thanks for the advice. In case anyone is searching in the future I rechecked the ground under the intake manifold and it was disconnected. Hooked it up and everything works perfectly.
