Does anyone in the states use the japanese version 2 gen power fc in their FC??? Just seeing if will work.

 

yes it does work

 

Some company (I think it's FEED or someone like that) makes a PowerFC kit for the FC. It seems to be the FD PowerFC with an adapter harness to plug into the FC's harness, a better air temp sensor, and a better MAP sensor. It's only for the '89-91 cars, since they have a full-range TPS.

Regardless, it would be a major engineering effort to make an FD PowerFC work on an FC as-is.

Apex japan actually sells this kit for the FC. This is the one I had on my FC, before I wrecked it. Just wondering cause friend in the states was interested in buying one from japan

 

I've *heard* of people doing it in the US. It should work - there's really not that many differences between US and J-spec 2nd gens. Electronically it *should* work.

BTW, Apexi Japan lists it, but they don't actually make the kit. Fujita Engineering makes the kit.
