Power FC Power FC Commander Port Damaged?
Power FC Commander Port Damaged?
Myself and a friend have personally used this Power FC and have known the ECU to function and work properly. However the FC Commander Port seems to be damaged... I have to hold the cable going into the port with a certain pressure/angle for the Commander to function along with my tuner's data cable. I've tried multiple cables, along with another working commander.
That being said a bit of research showed me that the Commander Port has a similar design to the PS2 plug. Has anyone had any luck swapping the port that's on the ECU? Have any useful input besides "Just buy a new ECU". This ECU does work, but the port does not have a strong connection/or is damaged.

Update:
I just found the plug that I need. For reference it's referred to as a "mini din 5 pin female pcb".

It would be fairly straightforward. You might even just want to check for cold solder joints or the source of the issue first if it's something easily remedied. Otherwise, just use a solder sucker/wick and pull the connector off and swap it.
I have not had the PFC ecu port problem, but I had the actual commander cable end connector that goes into the port go bad due too much flexing of the wires over many years.
I plug a PS/2 extension cable into the PFC permanently, per the Banzai Racing writeup on their website, and then plug in the commander or Datalogit to the free end of that extension cable.
As I stated above, it's not an issue with the commander or anything else. The problem is in the ECU. I ended up using another ECU to test with using my commander and my car and it worked fine. I ordered the new connector and I should have it repaired soon.
