Power fc with auto trans.

I have searched everywhere and can not find any information if a power fc will work in a 1993 mazda rx7 turbo with an automatic transmission. Any info on this would be greatly appreciated.

It will.
There is a whole post that Banzai wrote while developing the patch harness.

With a manual trans you need to modify the automatic harness to work with the trans our adapter is not required for that application.

it's definitely not needed, but when looking into an auto->manual swap I see people talking about swapping dashes and wiring harnesses from a manual, and all sorts of nonsense just to get the gauges to work. Or doing all wiring by hand. I could break out the soldering iron and wiring diagram, but this adapter seems like a reasonable way to avoid a lot of work when doing a trans swap.

It seems to me like you could just install this harness in an auto, swap a manual transmission, then disconnect the automatic ECU and the gauges and everything should keep working. Or am I missing something?
