pic request: fc commander dash mount
Hi, I have never posted on the fd section so don't freek out if this is already here somewhere, when I searched apexi powerfc a million unrelated threads pop't up.
I have a s5 tii swap'd fb and I'm running the fd apexi power fc ems with the commander. Yes it's a frankenstein worthy swap. currently I don't have the commander mounted anywhere I can easily see it while driving and I wanted to see where the fd guys keep theirs. thanks

thanks for the pics everyone, keep them coming.
I have another question about the commander. What knock range of numbers should I be weary of and look out for. I have seen 54 before while at 10psi.
and also does any one have a pdf manual for the commander ?

Many people also DIY a mounting bracket right near the gauge cluster. I'm not sure if FB's have it, but FD's have a cigarette lighter hole just behind the steering wheel.

Saw someone with a custom made DIN piece for the commander. It sat in place of one of the radio dins. The face to the right with the keys to the left. It was custom done but would love to know if there's anyone out there with the look. Pics would be sweat.

mrlaw you hit it right on the button, where ever I end up mounting the commander it will need to be in some sort of view without having to take my eyes off the road for a few seconds to find it and get my info.
Here is a few pics of what I have to work with.
I'm thinking mounting it on the right side of the steering wheel behind the window wiper switch would be the best location. Anyone else see a trick hiding spot that I'm missing ? or another good place to keep it ? I wouldn't say that I have too many gizmos to pay attention to. but its getting close lol.

It's dark like Poe.
Which parameters are you watching on the Commander? Just curious... it may be easier to justify another gauge...
You can pull the commander apart with some patience and creativity, then maybe mount the display in one of the center console vents... that'd be clean and easy to read.
