PFC + Water Injection
Is anyone here running water injection along with their PFC? It'd like to know your mods, how much boost your running, and how your tuned.
I have been experimenting slightly with my WI setup, as well as reading over at the WI forums (www.turboice.net). However, it's extremely difficult to find information specific to the 13b.
I do know that some piston guys, are losing 40 or So WHP when tuned too rich and running WI. I want to ensure this isn't the case for me (us), and still have a fairly safe window to avoid detonation.
I have read the former posts and discussions on WI and it seems ZeroBanger might be one of the most knowledgable guys on the forums on the subject. Anyone else can contribute?
I'm hoping to have some dyno's this weekend of WI and it's effects. I'll pull once without it, pull with it > 10 lbs, and pull with it > 7 lbs. I'll be sure to note the difference in HP, temps, hp. Anything other suggestions?

From what I understand, its simply to decrease the probability of detonation and thus creating a safe environment to increase boost levels. And that is where you will see more power from.
I think the benefits of WI are definitely something to look at, especially as a add on to an already capable system, as a sort of bigger safety cushion when you have things worked out well already.
How are you controlling your WI?
If you search for RICE RACING, he uses WI extensively and is one of the biggest proponents for its use, I wish he lived a little closer to me

I've been running wi with a PFC for a year or two but have not taken it to the dyno. Tuning with wideband to about 11.5 AFR up to 20 psi on 93 pump gas, will go leaner in future. Haven't done much with timing, set it up conservative and have adjusted it back when experiencing high knock levels.
Car pulls very good with the wi especially if we run leaner than most do without wi. The water subs for the excess fuel that we normally run without wi (my theory - the excess fuel is needed to cool hotspots on the rotary motor internals to supress detonation ... sub your own theory here if you are a believer in wi).
I run a street port, T66, PFC, big inj and pump, large IC, 3" exhaust, HKS Twin Power, 10.5 race plugs, etc.
