PFC w/boost contol kit or standalone boost controller?

Who has the PFC and using the boost control kit for it? Is the install plug and play or do you still need to splice wires? Do you recommend it?

Or do you find it better to have a standalone boost contoller? If so please explain.

I have the Blitz Dual SBC Spec R, from my FC and now that I have an FD I am not sure if I should sell it and use the boost option with the PFC or keep it. I would like to minimize elcetronics in the car, which is why I am leaning towards the PFC kit.

Thanks!

I purchased the Apexi solenoid, the same solenoid that is in the PFC boost control kit. It is a direct plug in. I intend to use it to control boost if and when I install my single kit. You can use the stock map sensor or you could put in a 3 bar if you want to run higher boost.

If you are just running the stock twins, from my experience the PFC controls boost just fine.

Ok, I appreciate the info. The 3 bar is only for running more boost.

I heard that it is better to have a dual solenoid to run twin turbos, but one fo the best boost contollers out there is a the ACVR (same solenoid that the PFC uses).

Anyone else use the Boost control kit?

And yes sorry for shouting. I already have the Apexi boost kit, and its CRAP!!!

Works fine on the stock twins, but cant manage a big single. (T04S)

I am running the pfc and apex solenoid. It works great. held boost rock solid at 15 psi with my rx6b and is doing the same at10psi with my gt40r. you do not need the whole kit. Just purchase the solenoid. The connector is the same as the factory wiring harness. You just plug it into the right connector, turn seqential off and set the boost you want in the pfc. You only use the first command line for setting one and two when you turn off seqential control. if set up properly, it works great.
