PFC unit mounting..?

How does everyone mount their PFC computer in their FD? I haven't really tried yet, but would like to get some ideas before I do. Pics would be great. Thanks.

1 - Take the brackets off the original ECU.
2 - Grind out a notch/hole on the original top side bracket for access to the small round connector on the side of the PFC for the commander or datalogit to connect to. A standard width bench grinder wheel is just wide enough and vicious enough to grind out a nice notch in the stock bracket for you.
3 - Use velcro stick on strips on the sides of the PFC and the original brackets.
4 - stick it, bolt it, enjoy it.... this held my PFC in place just fine for 2 years and a lot of hard street driving and also some track events.

I cut up an old phone charger, put a plate on it and mounted my pfc there. Others have done it before... I like it there because it doesnt require you to turn your head to view anything.

Just let me emphasize what wargasm said about cutting a notch for the commander. I was lazy when I put mine in, and the bracket ultimately put too much pressure on the commander plug and caused it to both ruin the connection on the end of the cable AS WELL AS cause the connection on the PFC itself to come loose and cause intermittant connections. I was really kicking myself for not just getting out the dremmel and taking care of it to start with.....

All I did was I took the bottom part of the stock ECU holder and put double sided tape and slapped on the PFC on there, as far as the commander I am using a cell phone holder that I double sided tape the pront piece of the gotham racing commander holder

I mounted the PFC with doublesided foam tape on stock ECU brackest with hole drilled for coimmander plug. Commander is installed in ashtray. ... modify ashtray by cutting bottom out while retaining enough flange material to hold slider lid in working condition. cut out most of console ashtray holder mount commander from below. display is visable by sliding open cover, lifting top provides access to buttons. while protecting them in normal driving. Only needed to dab some silicone onto for corners of cover to fully secure.

I made up an aluminum plate, pop riveted it to the pass side kick panel and mounted the PFC alongside my new PCS tranny computer with professional velcro. It hold them fast to the spot and allows easy Datalogit/Laptop hookups.

I modified my Custom Engine harness to prevent any stress or strain on the wiring, it's a great setup. I can supply pics.
