Question PFC to be installed Thursday, any advice

Seeking advice.

Scenario: My 93 R1 odyssey should be nearing its completion. The engine is in may parts on a mechanics bench in Albuquerque (he has 27 years of rotary racing experience). The parts all being match ported, polished, and really cared for. Street port on original side plates with new housings set to arrive on Monday. Twin Turbo is getting replaced as well – set to arrive on Tuesday. Steve, the mechanic will assemble it, and drive it (a 600 mile break in drive) to Dallas and meet me there. I am scheduled to take to Rotary Performance.

Rotary Performance will install a power FC, dyno it, set and out the door I go … I want the car to be a good road car … I live in NE New Mexico – where sometimes I can go 50 miles between cars! I am also on the edge of the mountains (curves and elevation changes) -- This car will never get timed for a ¼ mile, I want an excellent, reliable road car.

My mods are:

Cut factory air box, K&N Filter
Efini Y pipe
GReddy Blow Off
GReddy Pop Off
Removed Air pump
Street port
Matched ports (everything)
Down pipe
Mid pipe
Racing Beat Cat back

What should I be aware of?

Any tips on what to ask for in terms of maps?

Any tip or advice are appreciated.

Thanks,

:~) Steve

Well, without the air pump your car might idle a little rough, but it's nothing bad. Your exhaust will smell like a race cars(which I think is cool). As for the PFC, if someone else is tuning it, you shouldn't have to touch any of the maps, you'll just have to decide what engine peramiters you want to monitor( I keep the knock, injector duty cycle, water temp, and air intake temp on mine)

It's just a good idea to keep an eye on it. Keep your settings on peak hold, so you will see how high everything got.
