Are there any other options for a serial output device other than buying the datalogit software? I have seen that other one from japan that costs a few hundred dollars also. He has schematics on his website, but I don't know exactly what they are for. What are my options?

What's wrong with the FC-Datalogit?

You'll still need a serial interface with the PFC though.

 

As of now, the FC-Datalogit is the primary option. Kashi's box from Japan is out there, but it's hard to say what would work with it, and I think the Datalogit box is cheaper. You can also get the actual software/cable from Apexi, but it's quite rare in the US, and doesn't have any additional inputs, which is KEY for having a wideband input.

Fasthatch's box is in the pipe, but it's VERY hard to say when it will be ready. He's doing that project in his spare time, so it'll come out when it comes out.

You can also look at sourcing the Apex'i Pro cable, from Japan. I have been using one of these for my own project / development purposes.
