Does the difference mater that the PFC is from japan? Is there a difference in the japanese models and the us models in the same year or just 95 and under different than 96 and up that are different? I found them from a parts house NEW AT 680 dollars w/ commander!

The USA FDs had different wiring and emissions controls, and the later Jap FDs had different and faster ecus.

That is why you have to get a PFC for a 92-95 USA FD.

But if you are going single turbo, the main concern would be if the wiring harness connectors are the same.

If you're referring to the guy (who is actually in Hong Kong/China) JPS Trading Ltd, http://www.jappartsspecialist.com then you should just order the one for your correct year and search for the instructions. You should also know his prices went up very slightly *AND* he used to ship them as "gifts" so no customs duty-- now he sends them FedEx and they'll tack $20 duty charge on to the package.

p.s. holding information hostage isn't polite and doesn't serve to further your purpose

you still have to remove the smog wires on the "us spec PFC" beause its the same computer but with out the warranty and english instructions, maybe DaleClark can chime in.

Also? I described someone in Hong Kong which everyone presumes in Japan because of the web site and eBay names. You called someone in Japan to spend the same amount of money you can buy it off the web?

[sarcasm]Can't wait to hear who this is. Why is it such a big secret, it's not any cheaper.[end sarcasm]

If you look up what those wires control, 3 out of the 4 are irrevalent.
If you are non-seq with the ACV still in, only the revalent one is still connected to something.
If single turbo with the ACV removed, non of the 4 are connencted to anything.

Blue/Green or Blue/Aqua--3J = EGR switch (Ca only)
Black/Red--------------------4F = split air bypass solenoid
Blue/Yellow------------------4O = EGR solenoid
Brown/Yellow---------------4P = AWS solenoid

you just mentioned who it is its no secret the reason i got a big phone bill because i also ordered other parts for my right hand drive rx-7 and its easier to talk to someone on the phone than try to explain something in a e-mail, i paid $690 for my power fc and the phone bill was $60 thanks for asking,

cewrx7r1

never really looked up those wires because i have a jdm engine and wiring and dont have any smog equipment so i just plugged it with no problems,

I apologize. They used to ship from Hong Kong as "gifts", now they ship from Japan and you owe duty on them.
