PFC and cat overheat light still on
My car had a rebuild and ever since startup the cat overheat light on the tunnel (near the handbreak, next to ashtray) is still on. This indicates there is an error code, right?
I'm running the PFC, so does it affect it's function and how can I remove it?
Main cat and precat have been removed.
thx

yes, the PFC uses the exhaust heat warning light as its "check engine" light. Just a thought if u removed your cat, try turning the o2 feedback off and see if the light goes off...i dont know if u have ur airpump out or not.
But i do know that the overheat light is not restricted to the "exhaust" system, it also detects a sensor either out of its range or just in need to be replaced...I have the same issue that im trying to decipher. The light wasnt on with the stock ecu, and it didnt activate right after the pfc was installed after...i just recently activated after 2 weeks of having the pfc installed.
To check which sensor could be the culprit, the easiest way i think is to go to the "ETC." and go to sensor check and see if any of the voltage readings are way off....
I havent tried this yet, but try "RE-initializing all data"....that might get rid of the light but until the trigger of the light is found, it will probably light up again. Hope this helps
