This thread makes me nervous. I was planning on buying a PFC soon so I could get on with installing a mid-pipe, but this craziness with the A/C has me disappointed. I have a 93 touring and I live where it gets up to 110 degrees or more. I NEED my A/C blowing at 4! Is Apexi going to fix this? What's everone's guess about the percentages of who has this problem? Should I get a Haltech and go through the misery of installing that to avoid this A/C misery? Help!!!

For what it's worth mine is a 93 touring too and I live in Florida and need my A/C a good part of the year. Again, my setting 4 works fine as does 1 & 2. Three seems to be the one that use to not but it apparently works.

Hard for me to know for sure because I almost always crank it 4 anyways.

My 93 Touring A/C also works just fine with the PowerFC.

Just a note, after installing the PowerFC a year ago, if I turned on the A/C or the Fan mod, the IDLE was awful. Bouncing from 0 to 1,500 RPM, almost dying out.

Just recently I replaced the stock Cat-back with the M2 Dual. Problem solved, the IDLE is perfect with the A/C or Fan Mod ON.

My stock Cat-back had a hole in it. I can only guess that either the extra back pressure of the stock catback caused the problem. Or, the hole was causing varying amounts of back pressure. Pressure would Increase, RPM would drop. Pressure would Drop through the exhaust, RPM would go back up.

I know the changing back pressure doesn't make a lot of sense, but if there was something loose inside the muffler flapping back and forth, it could happen.

Anyway, I was Very surprised adn Pleased when the IDLE problem was fixed by a new cat-back!
