PFC burnt out?? need some answers

all of the sudden one day, it was like my secondaries were just stuck open pouring fuel into the engine when the car was running. the PFC had no control over the fuel other than just bearly makin a difference when i turned the duty cycle down to 25%. i pulled out all 4 injectors and looked them over, made sure they were opening and closing properly and put them back in. i had my friend turn the ignition to the run position while i checked for fuel leaks around my rails after re-assembly and i noticed my wiring harness smoking and glowing orange next to the block. apparently i hadn't insulated an unused wire or two when i converted to single turbo and it was grounding out in the block. i pulled out the harness and re-wired it for single turbo. at the same time i pulled my injectors out and had them tested elsewhere and they all checked out ok. today i put everything back together and tried to start my motor, but now i am getting no injector pulse or ignition pulse. could i have fried my PFC completly?

Did you trace the GLOWING wire back to the device that drives it?
If it was the PFC, then logically you fried something in the PFC.
Thus I would not trust the PFC and it should be replaced.

Try to charge the front secondary injector since its easy to get to. If it has a pulse you're SOL.

are the wires you have going to the ecu in good shape? im gussing you checked all your fuses? main fuse and the EGI especially? Odds are it isnt your ecu if your stock one is doing the same thing. Can you do continuity tests to check the wires? Does the sensor check on the PFC show any faulty sensor readings?

You don't get any spark with the stock ecu either? or did youjust try starting it without checking for fuel or spark?

i checked for continuity from the crank angle sensors to the ECU as well as shorts in between. i also checked for ignition and injector pulses right off the ECU instead of checking the end of the connecters to verify that it wasn't the wiring. now as far as I know, as long as the CAS is plugged in and working, i should see pulses regardless of what the other sensors are doing, especially on a stand-alone system.

anyone know how to test my CAS to see if they are working? not just continuity tests of the wiring, but actual sensor test..

it's probably safe to put the power fc back in seeing as how your stock computer was doing the same thing its prob not the ecu.

did the power fc commander power on and everything? Did it show any sensors highlighted?

everything powers on fine. not sure why any other sensors would cause this problem. are there any that absolutely have to be plugged in for the car to start other than the CAS?
