PFC and boost creep
hey guys
i have had the PFC in for about 2-3 weeks. it works great, especially after all the breaking in and living with the hunting at idle for a couple of days. now, my question is whether or not seeing .89 bar (13.35 PSI) is normal even though the ECU is supposed to limit boost to .80 bar (12 PSI)? i don't even have the down pipe in yet, and i am seeing boost creep. with the DP, how much more creep will i see?
i am going to have the car dyno tuned in a week, and the DP installed a little before that.
i do still have a HKS EVC lying around; can i use that to help with the creep?
my mods are:
intake/hi flo cat/cat back/ FMIC
Power FC
thanks for the time

The PFC does not keep boost at 12 psi.
It keeps boost at what you programed it for, or what it had when you got it. But this is also affected by mods.
Run a search on this forum about controlling boost, and study your PFC manual. Also read post about PFC boost readings being inaccurately low.
Unless you are non-seq with mods, you are not getting
boost creep. Boost creep is when boost is uncontrollable
below a certain boost level. I can't get my boost below 11PSI in cold weather even with a straight hose from the turbos to the WG with the other WG nipple capped.
Stock WG pressure is around 7 psi.
I personally do not use the PFC to control my boost.

You are not seeing boost creep. Do a search in the Third gen forum on boost creep to find out what it is and what causes it. Put your down pipe in and get a real boost controller so supplement your PFC.
