nitrous intercooler spray kit?

so I have a nitrous intercooler spray kit that just srays the outside of the intercooler not the inside! and I need to know from a tuner's point of view, do I need to get the car retuned with this mod or can I get away with leaving my car as is? Any input would be much appreciated, this is my second time asking this question looking for a good answer. Thank You!

As long as your Intake Air Temp Sensor is functioning correctly you should require no further tuning. I wouldn't tune based on the effects of a IC spray setup anyways.

I would keep an eye on the AFR's. the intake air temperature sensor responds slowly and is under the UIM and the sprayer is in the front of the car. You can't fully predict what would happen.

The car shouldn't need retuned provided there is a safety margin built into the map. But as arghx mentioned the stock IAT is very slow so the ECU will not adjust for the cooler air charge until it's possibly too late. We actually have a couple discussions going on about a faster sensor upgrade that would work well with a setup like that. There is one here in the PFC section and one in the 3rd gen section.

If you have the AIT sensor moved to the TB elbow or IC outlet and have had your AIR vs INJ tables properly set up, then it would be safe. But most of you all do not do this but use the stock tables which are bad and are not linear.
