Thanks for the update I think the more people we can get to use this product the more features we can add. This currently is setup for my RX7 but it should be able to work with any car that uses a PFC. Also the architecture is setup so we could use it with other ECUs if desired. After a long time with no updates . I am happy to present a beta version of the Raspexi successor PowerTune . This compiled version is for Windows (works great on Tablets ) , I will release a Raspberry pi version soon .

I am willing to test this on my R32 GTR! I am impressed that this has been going on for so long. If only I knew this while I still had my FD....

Please give me feedback should you have any issues. I have only been able to test on FD3S but i implemented the decoder for Nissan , should anything not display correctly let me know and i will fix it if needed .

Log Data to text file in a simmilar style to FC Edit .

The video above shows a Raspberry Pi with the official Raspberry Pi Touch screen .
I just prefer this screen as it has a tablet like look with the frame. You can put on almost any screen that you like as long as it has a minimum Resolution of 800x480 pixels .
Unfortunately it won't run on Android or IOS , but it can run on a Windows Tablet or Laptop as well .
If you don't want to use a touch screen you can also connect a screen via RCA or HDMI and use a mouse .

For The RX7 Bastian made a nice 3d printable mount that mounts in the original speaker location without drilling .It houses the Raspberry Pi2 or Pi3 as well as all the wires and the screen.
He made the files freely available so people can 3D print the mounts themselves . Just make sure you print it in PTEG or ABS so it does not deform on a hot summers day .

Cannot get comunication with fc datalogit using powertune, with raspexi yes!

 

I don't have a PFC, but this is still really cool stuff. Awesome idea on the speaker mount!

With a little effort, you may be able to even mimic the newer Mazda's screens. Continuity with newer cars from the same manufacturer is always a nice touch and a way of saying "This is how they would make the car today".

For those who aren't familiar, this is what the factory Mazda's screen looks like:



With that 7" Pi screen in there...it's pretty darn close.

Yeah still busy on the Frontend we finished now support for all PowerFC's like Nissan Subaru Mazda Honda ....
We also implementing now suport for Adaptronic Selct (finished) , Adaptronic Modular (via CAN Bus) , OBDII, Nissan Consult , and Haltech (via CAN Bus) .
So basically this program will pretty much run with most Popular ECU's in most cars .
To make a pretty frontend is quite tricky
