I think there are a couple base tunes available in the PowerFC Forum under the engine management section.

would they be good enough to have the car run on them in the mean time, and to drive 3hrs back home?...

the car is out of town as the guy is working on it, so i will have to drive on the highway back home....

What Power FC are you running? AP Engineering? You should be able to drive it on just the basemap included in there, as long as it starts and idles. Are you using the FD MAP sensor? The AP map is set up for the FD map sensor, or the AVC-R map sensor. If you have a GM sensor you will need to change the settings using a Datalogit. You do have a datalogit right?

If you have the Banzai Racing kit with the FD Power FC, there's a pretty good chance it should at least run right out of the box. Worst case scenario, you have to add some fuel in the idle area, which is what I had to do to mine.

General forum consensus is you need an FJO injector driver or equivalent to properly run those 1600cc injectors with a PFC.

You don't need an FJO injector driver to run the 1600's. But that doesn't mean it won't offer some benefit to getting a smoother fuel map and smoother injector transition. But someone who is paying a professional to tune their car probably won't notice a difference when they're driving itthat is, a well-tuned car with resistors vs. a well-tuned car with an injector driver.

FYI I run the factory 86-87 1/2 resistor pack (~6 ohms) and my injector transition is fine (from a driver's perspective, not talking about minutely dissecting datalogs and maps here) as long as you set the lag, overlap, and transition settings properly.

Anyway...To the OP, if it is an "actual s5 model" then it is the AP Engineering model. You have not answered the question of whether you have a Datalogit and what MAP sensor you are using. If you don't even know what I'm talking about when I ask those questions, you better do some searches before you put a computer in your car that you know nothing about.

Sorry I meant properly. I have used larger injectors on the PFC also, just not the right way to do it without the driver...

no i do not have a datalogit, and i'm unsure of which map sensor i will be using as of yet, the car is in edmonton and the guy is currently working on it, were either going to use an FD map sensor or a 3bar, what do you guys recommend?...

i want the car to be able to run and drive alright on the highway, not bagging on it or anything, i will take it to a professional tuner aswell to get it tuned, the transition kind of worries me now that i think about it, but what exactly is the FJO thing?...

start searching in the power FC forum and single turbo forum. Learn more about the Power FC and how it works. And if you don't have a Datalogit we can't help you anyway.

The base mod Inj map is not all 1.000.
