I havent been able to find anyone who can give me specifics about what features it has but its supposedly the same idea as the Datalogit just made and released by Apex.

i have seen both (datalogit and powerfc pro software) and the apexi pro cable and software is japanese only. i emailed apexi and asked them and there is no english version of the manual or software that the cable comes with. the apexi powerfc pro software looks to do the same, however it doesnt give you access to the airtemp table (datalogit does) and i think datalogit allows you to turn on the fans at lower temps than normal, not sure if powerfc pro lets you. you can download the pro software if you guys wanna have a look at it, its in japanese however. its an old copy thats been floating around.

That's not the FC Commander Pro Software, it's the FC Pro software, the software for the Power Excel Dealers.

FC Pro doesn't work with the Datalogit box.

And you should remove the link, it's an illegal copy

 

nah ill leave it up there thanks, so why is it ok for you to reverse engineer the powerfc protocol and make your own app and charge money for it but its not ok for me to keep a copy of the fc pro software, thats in japanese and is completely useless without the right cable?

 

Probably because its illegal to possess the software unless youre an excel shop.

I don't see any illegal activity to reverse engineer a protocol and write my own app, but it's illegal to offer licensed software for download.

 

even still offering it for free, i could be sure the powerfc license and documentation states you must not reverse engineer it. i mean i have nothing against what you are doing, i reckon its great and will be very helpful. all i am offering is a download for people to see what fc pro software looks like. if its such an issue ill remove the url and be on my merry way

 

I don't care if you offer it for download, but Apex'i may. I know some employees from Apex'i USA are on Honda-Tech.com for example, i don't know if they check this forum.

 

and of course they would love to hear how you've been reverse engineering the protocol to build your own application for it. so go and tell them to release the bloody software and cable and manuals in english its stupid they are in japanese only. they offer a worldwide site and offer the powerfc for all kinds of models, the hand controller is in english but of course the manual and software are in japanese.

how stupid is that???? if it was it english i would be happy to pay for the cable and software but its not so until then its not a suitable product. ill remove the link from the previous thread cos your a sook but seriously , if they aren't willing to release english manual and software then its pointless in all honesty. how good would fc datalogit be if it only came in cantonese. useless

Actually there is an English version software, but you need an adaptor to connect to the PFC.
And only authorized Power Excel shops have the adaptors and software. Tuning and logging with fcpro software is a lot easier.
