Power FC My PFC installation

My PFC installation
Yesterday I installed my Power FC and Commander. What a saga.
I started off in the house. There is nothing for installation instructions. I used the resources I found here. So I was thinking of clipping wires, but decided to clip pins instead. I used a wire cutter to clip the pins on the FC, then mashed the remainder (1/8 or 3/16) flush. That was the easy part.
Somewhere in my head I was thinking I needed to get behind the drivers side rocker panel. I looked in the standard shop manual, and found 2 CPUs there. I was thinking it was CPU 1. When I got down there, I noticed there would be no freaking room for the PFC. I then called over a friend. He mentioned that in his experience, the ECU should be behind the passenger side rocker panel. I went up and grabbed the rest of my shop manuals. Sure enough, there it is!
I then removed the other panel and got down there. I could not finesse the harness plugs out so he did.
We then used a jigsaw with a metal cutting blade to cut the upper bracked end so the Commander could plug in. I used the velcro to secure the FC to the brackets and we loosely attached the brackets. Connect the negative terminal and the Commander had power. Time to fire it up and let it do its work.
We did so. I then disconnected the Commander. I decided to leave it in the glove box, and routed the wire through the side of the glove box and reattached the rocker panel to cover it. I did a little driving but didn't notice much of a difference. I have only had the FD for 6 weeks so I am not as familiar with the car as I should be.
Today I went over to get the DP installed at Max-Max. I couldn't get that done, but one of the shop managers has an FC and Commander so he started checking it out. He showed me the peak memory. On the way over I had gotten it up to 6900 RPM, max injector duty cycle was 80%. Good enough. What was not, was the fact that the knock had peaked at about 100. He said that was bad. I asked what could be done and he said the map would have to be changed.
How does this sound???
