When I let off the gas while my car is between 2-2.5k rpm it backfires quite a bit, doesn't do this with the stock ecu, anyone know what I can do to make this stop?

 

lean out the mixture. But I would recommend doing it on a dyno

 

Let's pull your map next time you're out and driving it. We can pull it up on the laptop using the Datalogit and take a look.

 

btw: montego is running the newest 7.07 apexi base modmap. he says his car runs smoother/better with this map, but still has the same backfire problems.

I'll be on the dyno next weekend and my try the 7.07 map if I get a chance to play with it on the street this week...
