my knock

here's my knock at this particular range N9, it's relatively higher than the rest...

i've replaced my gearbox, my flywheel, my clutch cover... should have reduced the drive train noise....

i didn't notice any abnormality around that area for my IGL and IGT... nor the basemap for any lean point....

need some ideas..... retarding it doesn't help...

as said about a million times, the knock sensor in rotary engines is not a reliable method of detecting internal engine knocks.

the best way is to tune with a wideband and verify readings afterwards in different conditions. if it is correct then your're reading drivetrain slop. could be anything really.

best method is buy a high dollar knock sensing device, which the stock sensor is not.

most tuners tune by knowledge and feel and only really look at the knock sensor if the readings are excessively high, otherwise it's unreliable to assume anyone's OEM knock sensor is accurate and why all tuners use their own widebands.

after flashing the WB with the latest firmware it seems to be reading 15.6 AFR on the cruise vacuum portion... previously was reading 14.7... double checked the sensor and calibration.. everything was correct.. the programming of the LC-1 is coorect as well...

only that few spots encounter high knock... 15.6 afr seems to be okay for the rest of the area... just that few spots....

probably i can ignore it as it never happen in the positive pressure area...

curious is changed gear box... still same situation probably will try bumping up the fuel in that area to see if any improvement... as the IGL IGT nothing abnormal.. it's same number from the region nearby.
