Does any one know what the requirments of the lap top are to run the datalogit software. (ie) hardrive space, processor speed so on and so on..

I don't think there are any hard and fast requirements, per se. Basically, a slower processor will just limit how many lines per second you can log. I seem to remember seeing a post from someone who was running a Pentium 100 or and getting 5 lines per second in his logs. I get about 19 per second on my 1.6Ghz with 256 MB RAM.

 

I'm using a P133 with no problem. I had read on the datalogit forum that processor speed shouldn't be a limiting factor on the sample rate since the interface was the bottleneck, but I'm only getting about 13/sec, so maybe that's not entirely true.

Hard drive space is minimal....probably could be as little as 10MB free (app is about 5 meg, you'd need a couple meg for logs).

I have 128MB of ram, but I don't know what the minimum is for that. RAM's cheap as hell for old laptops, so I wouldn't worry about that.
