Knock sensor Queston, Part II
In previous threads about the stock knock sensor, people responded with the values they had displayed. High, low & normal.
My question is; when the # its high, above 140 for example, wont the ignition be retarted & power output be less? Seams like it should do something more than just monitor sound & relay it in a voltage output.
So if you do have high #'s, after you retorque or replace the sensor. Should you redo you ignition maps to reduce the noise/knock readings?

Yellow Dragon is no more
stock ECU monitors it and does 4 degrees of retard
PFC does nothing but show you the reading
Also I had high readings on my PFC ... turns out the knock sensor was flat out shot.

Interesting. cause My sensor looks like crap. All the waxy stuff is melting & dripping onto the #1 leading spark plug. Im going to replace it & see if there is any changes in readings.
It good to know that It wont affect performance.
Thanks
