Just got my PFC, got some Qs

Hey guys, i just got my PFC from jason from the GB. Well before i go on and install it. Is there any tips or anything i should know about before i do so. Also how good is the base map for my current setup. I know the that question has been ask frequently. I have the current mods:

-Intake
-DP
-Catback
-Efini Y-pipe

Would the stock map do the trick or should is there a better map out there for my mods.

With your mods you are completely fine using the base map from the Power FC. When you install the Power FC you will notice that the idle is going to be a little fu!@# up, it should go away within 30 min. Don't worry this is completely normal. Also, when you are driving the car take it easy for a few minutes then floor it a few times. Have fun with your new mod.

Just installed mine tonight .......Momentarily I forgot that I read about the eratic idling when you first start it up. And it did idle all messed up too for a few minutes.

Just for a heads up, the new unit wont be able to be screwed down like the stock ECU.......Im not sure what the trend is but I took off the lower bracket from the stock ECU and bolted it back in place using one of the bolts as the 'new' ground location......You'll see what Im talking about once ur under there. Then that gave me a level shelf to sit the new ECU on and tie wrapped to the old mount.

Gdluck!

While Im at it I gotta question also.

I noticed the readings are not the US standard measurements
can we change this? (I hope)

If not where can I find a graph to convert the numbers so I know what Im looking at?

Also does someone know what the base map boost setting is at? My car is still stock except for this ECU.....so I wanna make sure Im not running too much boost.

The manual that came w/ this unit really isnt that good in explaining everythng is there any others out there or a website maybe?

formulars

The only things you need are probably for temperature and boost.

1 kg/cm3 = 14.3 psi (lb/in3)

760 mm/hg = 30 in/hg

For temperature is more comlicated. So I am just going to give you a ballpark if you cannot do the math in your head:

You should see 85C when it's warmed up. 85 C is about 185F

100 C = 212 F

If the water temp goes beyond 110, you are in deep Sh*t.

The formular for temp conversion is: F= 9/5 C +32

If you cannot do the math conversion, you should go back to elementary school. Everyone should be able to do it.
