Just bought a Power FC but need some help.

Hey guys. I just bought a Power FC w/o commander from Up Garage in Japan and it's for a 93-95 FD3S. SN# FD3S2 9910-0012. Does anyone have that matching number? Also it says it cannot be reset. ("risettingu dekimasen" in japanese) Anyone know why it would say that? The reason I bought it so blindly without research is because things come and go quickly there and I am allowed to return it in 1 week. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i may be speaking for myself here, but i think you should try to re-word your post...

"does anyone have that matching number...anyone know why it would say that?"

no offense at all, but i think it's too vague of a question.

when you installed the ecu, did you let it learn the idle? this might not be worth a damn but it's the only thing i can think of right now.

Doh. I'm sorry. Sorry for many things actually.
First off. I meant to ask 2 totally different questions:
1. Does my SN# look familiar to anyone because it seems that other people have 414-Z004. Or am I looking at the wrong number on my ecu? (Can't see any others though)

2. The sticker on my ecu says the ecu cannot be reset. What is it supposed to mean? (Sorry it's in japanese and i can barely read it myself)

And the other thing I'm sorry for is for posting this in the wrong forum. I've only been looking in the 3rd gen forum and didn't realize there was an ecu forum. Could someone move this to that forum for me or can I do it myself somehow?

Actually I haven't installed the ECU. I'm in Japan, the car is in California. I don't go home till mid-august.
I'm basically just trying to find out if I got the right ECU for a 93 FD3S. I just got worried because 1. I can't tell if it's the right one because of the part number. 2. I don't know why it says it cannot be reset.

Maybe they're saying it can't be reset (to the default maps/settings) because it's missing the commander.

If my japanese is correct, the sticker says that "RE-setting" or in other words, fine tuning, is not possible. It'll require the FC Commander to do it.
