Japanese PFC

Are the Japanese Power FCs programmed differently than the US counterparts?
I remember reading that there are differences in the octance level, and in turn the prgramming logic was diferent. Fact or Fiction? Just wondering if I could pick up a Japan spec FC w/ no problems added.

The Japanese base maps are for a higher octane than in N.America. I'd personally buy from a u.s. or canadian distributor, it'll be quicker, probably the same price if not cheaper, and then you can always go to a power xcel dealer to tune it. (if they ever expand the tuners).

Is the Japanese PFC has Japanese language in the FC Commander? Or is there option to select language.

Thanks

I think someone with the Datalogit checked the base maps and confirmed that the US and J-spec PFC's were identical. This is what I had been told directly by Apex'i support as well.
