Power FC Installed Pfc,car wont start
Installed Pfc,car wont start
I bought a used Pfc for my FD a week ago off the forums and i installed it today.I read all the instructions, cut the correct wires(triple checked) reinitialized before i turned the key.And then it cranked and cranked to no avail. The injectors were getting a pulse but i didnt know if you could check for spark with the commander.I swapped the Pfc for the stock ecu and the car fired right up. My only mods are a trust catback and a high flow cat. im going to test for spark tomm, any other ideas?
check for spark... get a spark plug simulator at advance or autozone. then check to see if you have fuel pressure. you also might want to get in touch with the previous owner quick! where in ny are you?
When you turn the key to on you should hear the solenoids click, as well as some actuators. If they don't, check to make sure the yellow plugs in the PFC are plugged in tightly. If still no clicking.....borrow a PFC from someone on the island.

well i went out this morning to try it out again,i reconnected the snipped wires to the connectors and plugged the pfc back in.I looked at the sensor screen and it had the same ones up.Fuel pump went on when i cranked ,i saw the injectors were getting pulse.I then pulled a spark plug to check for spark/fuel. But the ceramic broke on the plug but the plug was abit damp and smelled of fuel.im going to the store to find a new plug and try for spark.thank for the help so far guys

yea i reinitialized it a couple times and before i ever turned the key.I did the whole initialize, turn ignition off then back on.Car runs perfect with stock ecu.I was driving all day no problem.
what version fc edit are you using? though that preloaded map should still fire it right up. pretty confusing to say the least. see if you can make a friend with another pfc and if it starts up its time to get a refund. hopefully you did paypal...

Rooney! ........Your car should start with the PFC. I would:
1: find someone local who has a PFC and try it.
2: Try your PFC in their car to see if it works
3: Get some beer and chips
