What should the ignition timing for leading be reading on the FC commander. I know that at TBC leading is 5 deg and 20 deg for the trailing. On the FC it always shows as being the same. Is that right?

Your question is kind of confusing. The leading timing varies from single digits to the mid 40s on the PFC base map. The trailing timing varies between 0 degrees of split up to 15 or so (?).

leading and timing display

On my FC commander display it always shows the leading and trailing timing in deg as the same number. It doesn't make sense to me.

Please explain.

Go cruise at 2400 rpm in fith, and record your IGL and IGT. Then use the map tracer to see which cell you are in when doing the cruise. Compare the cell timing to displayed timing. Then come back to us with the results.

Now at idle, they are different because the PFC defaults to some Mazda standard and ignores the map. Once past idle, they should match up.

Did you try something like this?

they are the same number until you start to hit boost. Once you hit boost, you'll have a timing split that is normally around 12 ish or so depending on the map your using.
