Idle problem (searched)

I had bought a used PFC, and have had it for a week now. I can not get my idle to settle. It jumps between 1000 and 1500. I have driven it sevral times, to let it learn, and nothing. I let it idle for at least 40 minutes. Please help. I heard something about a idle screw. Can someone elebirate on this for me. Thanks guys. I did search, so please don't yell at me.

Go to the PFC sensor check screen, now with the key in the 'on' position without the car on locate the CLT dot. Now push the clutch in and out, if the dot does not change state (ie filled and not filled) then your clutch switch is bad. My clutch switch went bad and I had the same symptoms as you. HTH..

I dont think the PFD actually "learns" to settle the idle as the stock ecu does, I thikn you need to tell the PFC where you want it to idle and then adjust the slow idle screw to compensate for where it was and where it will now be....

It is not idling high, it is bounceing between 1000 and 1500. It has never idled smooth.

You still should try reducing idle air flow. There are two
mechanical adjustments for this, not counting the cold start assist system.

This may be a stoopid question, but what pins did you clip? What color were the wires and you sure you got the right ones?

Go to your PIM settings: [Setting] -> [PIM Volt]. Make sure 1. Normal is highlighted then back out of the menu (press left arrow key).
