High Idle, Don't worry, it's a legit question.

I was unning the poor man's version of non seq.

PFC was set at sequential because I still had all the solenoids hooked up. My idle was fine after it went through that searching phase.

Over the weekend, I decided to do the full version. Took out all the solenoids, AWS, and the Double throttle.

Now I'm running the pfc in the non-seq mode. Only problem is, I can't bring the idle down. I have the bleed screw turned in all the way and the throttle adjustment screw all the way out.

It levels out at ~1300. The pfc is set at 750, 800, and 850.

Any help?

did you by chance bypass throttle body coolant? this is what my buddy just did...and we recieved a high idle. you have to lock up the fast idle cam. this is step 4 on http://www.rx7turboturbo.com/robrobi...dy_coolant.htm after we did that, we got a perfect idle!

i hope this is the problem.

Hey Mikey, one more question. When I was cleaning up the UIM, I removed the idle control valve, accidently. This only allows you to control the idle from the ecu right? Does it do anything else? Do I need this?
Your method worked and it's idling perfect at 750. I just don't know if it's worth it to hook up the idle control valve.

i don't really know. i left mine connected cause i wanted to controll idle with ecu, but i did recieve a block off plate for that idle control. so i guess that means it is common to take out. my buddy (the one refered to before) used that plate and blocked his off. it runs perfect without it. you are correct...he is now not able to controll idle with ecu, but he didn't care. so i would say no you don't need it.
