help needed wiring WB to DL, and more!

ok, I've been searching my a$$ off with limited success. my main issue is that I do not have (and cannot find) an datalogit manual (beige box). I need to know how to wire my wideband (plx sm-afr) to the datalogit.

here's what I know.
- the datalogits AN-1 is the wideband input spot.
- my wideband has an output plug for wideband signal (which goes to an-1), narrow band signal, and a ground spot.

now do I need to also run the ground wire FROM the WB controller to the DL? and to what input spot? or does it need a chassis ground? The plx documents I am trying to read are frustratingly vague.

The other question is regarding the noise filtering capacitor I am supposed to install. forgive my wiring ignorance, but I have never heard of running a cap (or anything) from the power wire to the ground wire, before their destination. is that really how it goes? thats what it looks like in the plx drawing anyway.

thanks for any help, and as I get wiser, I promise to try and return the favor!

oh p.s. when I do get the wb controller talking to the DL, what is recommended for the >Setup >Auxilleries >AN-1? (grr need datalogit manual)

I dont know for sure on the PLX but I have a AEM and all i had to do was run why wideband 0-5V output to the datalogit input. That worked for me and it seems to be fairly accurate within one or two points from each other(gauge and log).

thanks for the reply. I was considering that too, but I did run across a few posts saying they ran a ground to an-2 I think. and since plx wants me to put a noise filter capacitor on it, I wasn't sure if that works just in-line with 1 wire. any other takers?

^btw, by "within 1 or 2 points from eachother", do you mean like 10:1-13:1 is two points? that doesn't sound good at all.

I got the PLX connected to my Datalogit.

I connected the WB and the ground wire to the AN1 and AN2 on the datalogit.
I installed the noise filtering capacitor close to the PLX box.
The NB is not in use.

the setup is:

Delta AN1-AN2

AN1:

oV - 10A/F
5V - 20 AF

AN2:

0V - 0V
5V - 5V

That will work using the setup delta function.
