It's usually plug n play. Did you clip the three wires that you need to?

i searched and found that i have to cut the 4 wires to get it start, is that true? https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...stall+power+fc

it says 4 wires, but you said 3 wires. which one is true? and what are those wires for?

i got it started but back to the wiring topic. if i don't cut it, what will happen? good of bad? 3 or 4 wires?

double check your wiring to make sure there hasn't been any tampering...

If its says to cut four then thats correct. I couldn't remember if I cut 3 or 4 wires. Once cut, if everything else is in working order the car should run.

i read dale clark write up about the ac and it's ture. if i blast my fan speed to 4 and 3 my ac won't turn on but 1 and 2 it will. not that i solve this problem. i still can't fix the idle. i have done the 10 min idle no load, 10 min defroster, and 10 min ac. and on top of that adjust the idle screw. it's still won't work. my idle is hunting from 900-1700 rmp.

I'm far from being the expert, but since those more knowlegable haven't chimed in......If it were me, I'd go back to the beginning. Re-connect the wires and your stock ECU if you have to. Given the state of the English translated instructions that come with the PFC, and that you read DaleClark's FAQ write-up afterwards, then it's likely you missed something. Read through the instructions and the FAQs again, make a list in chronological order of things to do. Idle bleed screw, double check the wires you cut to make sure they're right etc.
Search in this section with specific issues beforehand.

Hate to bring up an old thread but i just installed my PFC and the first day it was fine.
The second day my idle started hunting and has continued to do it for another day. Can't figure out what is wrong.

This has been discussed too many times as the problem is common.
It is a PFC learning problem sometimes, but mostly you need to help the PFC adjust by adjusting the Air Adjusting Screw(AAS) .

Start searching this forum.

What i did was lower my idle with the idle screw at the top to around 750 - 800 and the hunting idle went away.

That was one of the waaays mentioned to help the PFC learn.

Unfortunately, Mazda/Apexi software is not that great as was designed back then.
