Here's some advice: Learn about modifications BEFORE you install them!

Read, read, read. At least start with the Power FC owner's manual...

At this point, you could easily blow the motor. I suggest you remove the midpipe and put back the stock cat until you do a little research.

What do you mean by upgraded turbo? Who built and installed your engine?

Your PFC will have to be setup and tuned for your mods.

Grammar control should arrest you.. but besides the fact, if your PFC came with a manual read it! If not, Try the search button and search for keywords like "Apexi Power FC" or "PFC".. Look under the Engine Management Forums.. Good Luck with your grammar and car!

What if you can't read japanese Real men dont need to read the manual (or at least we think we dont, then f*ck the project up) Look in the engine management forum. theres an area for PFC. It holds a wealth of information.

The manual is available in English in several places on the internet -- if you actually buy the PFC from an authorized dealer, you get english manuals.

Real men realize that they don't know everything and need to RTFM instead of blowing their engine.

Download a copy of engine version from "STRICKY"

Get a boost controller first before you use PFC to control the boost level. You could either get the one for PFC, or other brand Ele. boost controller.

--- I told by some of the people that they said the PFC boost controller is not as good as the other brand boost controller (Profec II, Blitz, or etc.) because it has limitation on it. Correct me if i m wrong.

BTW: did you cut those 4 wires, it is important. Bring it to do dyno tune later on.

thx Sindy

PS: i need to do dyno tune later, once i finish break-in the engine. I have PFC and AVC-R boost controller.

Geez, man, don't go modding these cars when you don't have a clue. If you have a full exhaust and you feel the power dropping off above 5000 rpm, you have a turbo control problem or a boost leak.

No, you shouldn't run more than 10 psi. If you fix your boost problem, you'll probably creep well above that, so take off the midpipe like I suggested above.

The PFC can control boost itself by using the stock solenoids. Many people find that a separate electronic boost controller does a better job, and yes the PFC will work just fine with a separate BC.

You really should listen to what we are saying -- you are headed for a blown motor with your current course of action. Why did you install all of these mods without doing any research on what will happen?

I suggest you go to a good rotary mechanic, like Rick's Rotary in Pleasanton, and have them diagnose your boost leak/control issue, and set up the basic settings on the PFC to run 10-11 psi. Drive the car like that until you can get with a good rotary tuner to dial in your fuel/timing maps for higher boost levels.

if you are not that good at mechanicals, get somebody to work on it that knows what they are doing. otherwise, like rynberg said, you're heading for a blown motor.
