HELP 95-98 Power FC for s6 91-95 efini engine is it possible?

Hey guys,

I'm going to do an engine swap on my RX-8 with '95 efini FD3S half cut with complete engine wiring gearbox and I have a 96-98 Power FC. Will it work or do I have to sell and buy for 91-95 Power FC or buy a 96-98 ECU harness?

Thanks.

Completely different plugs and pinout. An adapter used to be available, might still be.

To answer your question, the two are not directly compatible.

Thanks for the answer banzai-racing. Was really helpful.

I'm a complete retard don't even have the slightest clue about engine harnesses and ECUs.

So the two are not directly compatible… what if I use the 96-98 engine harnesses with version 2 for 96-98 power FC but on older 95 engine? Can it still compatible (plug and play) the 96-98 harness with the 95 engine?

So stock 95 250hp Engine -> 96-98 engine harnesses -> 96-98 power FC

Thanks in advance.. and sorry if I ask too many questions.
