I bought the power FC software and logging and downloaded it into my computer. My car was tuned w/ the datalogit (dat file) and was just wondering since this software requires you to choose the application (ie FD3S I-III)...will it apply a base map if I plug it in? I dont think it will or should but I wanted to check the forums to see if there's someone else out there that can confirm this.

 

it doesnt sound it will load a basemap but to be on the safe side keep a copy of your existing map

 

it only loads or reads something into/from the PFC if you tell it to. Just opening up the program doesn't load anything. Like a word doc. you can type all day but if you don't hit save nothing happens.

 

I'll release a patch that removes the registration requirement from the FC Commander Pro software and turns it into a full featured FC Pro (Power Excel) software.

 

Sounds pretty cool fasthatch. I wouldn't mind trying it out! I'm guessing the datalogit will work with this? Does pro have the ability to log other inputs like wideband in the way fc edit does?

 

The FC Commander Pro adapter modifies the data so that it can only be used with the FC Commander Pro software

Also please note that I will only release a patch, not the patched application (for legality reasons).

That sounds great fasthatch. cant wait. And thx to everyone that responded, just got it hooked up and logged some data. It takes some getting used to but pretty good software.
What a PITA to download. The manual gave me the wrong web address so I had to do a few searches to find it. I will keep the datalogit for now but I think I can get used to this.

 

the pro software cant read any of the datalogit data. idk if there's a way to make it work.

 

Oh well that won't work for me then all i have is the datalogit and don't plan to get the apexi adapter
