Found a PFC gold/command for sale for around $500'ish and was wondering is there is a big difference between the gold and purple versions. Will this Gold version still be able to control boost? Anything to be leary of? thanks in advance.

You are talking about the PFS or peter f supercars aka EFI systems. It was designed in late 80's good for its time but way out classed now. They have used many patches over the years to keep it up todate, but alas it should be dragged into the street and shot.
