Getting PowerFC with no program, what to do

Hey all, I finally am getting a PowerFC for my car. It will include the commander, however, I was told that it comes with no program. I was just wondering what I will have to do to get it running on my car with minimal mods; pettit intake, DP, high flow cat, cat back. thanks

You should just be able to plug it in (snip the wires) and go, although it will be running dog rich. As we spoke about the other night, I'm running the following on the stock maps and mine is still a bit rich.

downpipe
midpipe
CB
Pettit Not-So-Cold Intake
HKS Ignition
RP Pulley
RP Fuel pump
Greddy IC
Blitz EBC

As well as M2 clutch, flywheel, and Mazdacomp radiator.

Hey Matt, thanks for the quick reply, only reason I had a question was that the seller stressed that it came with no program, so I wanted to be sure.

BTW didyou get the commander with your PowerFC?
thanks,
Jeff

Jeff,

I bought the commander with the PFC as I thought I would be modifying the fuel maps. Although I haven't modified the maps, I'm glad I bought the commander. Looking at the sensor output can REALLY cut down on trouble-shooting turbo issues....

When the seller said it didn't have any program, I assume he means it has the base maps. You will probably want to lean it out a bit or add a few more mods... either way. I plan on making a trip down to XS for some dyno time in December.
