Question fuel volts

the fuel sensor is lite on my comandor at 4.98 volts. on fds it says its a fuel temp sensor. is it reading the volts from the pump. what would it read for my s5 fc? the same . should this be at 12volts? i think this is why my car is out of wack. and will only break up and die if i try to drive it.

No, it is reading the volts from the fuel temp sensor that is non-existent on the FC, that is why it is lit up. It does not effect anything. It has nothing to do with the fuel pump what-so-ever

Those of us running not stock secondary fuel rails in our FDs that do not have a fuel temp sensor, use the DL to change the Settings 2 INJ vs Fuel Temp 60C correction to 1.00. thus inhibiting that entry.

If the sensor is lit and the INJ vs Fuel Temp table is not altered it will inject slightly more fuel. it increases the ms by 0.020, since it will still be consistent it could just be tuned out. Either way it will make little difference in the way the car runs. So if your car is out of whack its something else.

yes, i think a bad ground was the problem. i try'd the rewire on the fuel pump. but it still ran like crap and would die out. so put it back to stock and instead of just attaching the 2 ground wires back to each other.i grounded them to the frame.and its running good even got it to my friends shop. were hopefully this weekend my tunner kahren will double check it.
