Creepin,
Not to take anyone away from the Tampa guys or Kilo, but to be honest you don't need a tuner with Tweak. You are the tuner and there isn't much of a learning curve.
If your on the twins and want to be ultra conservative and safe turn the boost all the away down. Should be around 7-8psi. My 3kai are around 9-9psi. Run the base map on the pfc through Tweak. Let it mod it. Go on a couple drives, log, and Tweak. The Tweak will automatically raise the fuel level in the next cells. Turn the boost up to 9. Log and Tweak. Then 10 and etc, etc. The Tweak will adjust the timing and fuel. Just take your time and go slow. Read the proper way to do your pulls and keep an eye on your knock levels.
learning curve probably consists of:
1. How to hook up the afr gauge and use it with the datalogit. That includes getting use to the software.

2. Watching knock.. you already know what it is,, just keep an eye on it.. going at such a slow and safe rate if there is is any knock there is probably something else wrong. The ignition maps are conservative and safe with FC Tweak.

3. Trusting yourself. You've been around for awhile. I am down in Hollywood so your welcome to come down my way for some help if you want also. I can jump in with you and we can go log. We can take the same route I took my car. Or still take my car.

4. The obvious. Make sure there are no voltage dips and spikes (HUGE problem I had). Temps are running solid, etc. You obviously need everything running properly.

After I fix my exhaust leak I will be tuning a couple more psi on mine so your welcome to drive down, jump in with me and see how it is done.

I say you've been around awhile, but maybe your screen name is similar to another. You can PM me if you need.

You're not wrong at all. Completely agree with that approach. Basic level tuning isn't as hard or difficult to grasp as people think but it is quite the daunting task when a small mistake could cost you 10k. You can have all the confidence in the world but you just have to be ready to make a mistake and deal with the consequences.

Not saying that to scare anyone but its the reality. Definitely an advocate for people trying it on their own. The power fc is really user friendly using either fc edit or fc tweak. I would recommend an intro to tuning with the power fc but for those not looking to swim in the pool, we and others are here.

the street tuned FC Tweak is totally fine. i do think i'd get a better result more quickly by using FC Tweak on a dyno though. my tuner has a mustang dyno so you can hold rpm, and so tuning is just to hold the rpm at each row, and then push gas and release. super simple. then you can work on all the correction maps

100% agreed. Issue comes with a shop that blows the car up and doesn't want to take responsibility for it. Oh it was the fuel pump, or oh it was a faulty wire on the ecu or whatever. You can never really beat experience, but there are plenty of benifits for doing it on one's own. If your ready to take responsibility as said.

For this reason we don't just tune any car off the street. There's quite an inspection/interview that comes with it. We make sure a car is in a condition to be tuned safely before taking it on. If a rotary wants to be a rotary then it is what it is but we at least make sure to catch what can be caught ahead of time.

Cars are gonna do what cars are gonna do but when a "i did it all myself" build comes through they don't always meet OUR standards for what a "ready to tune" car is. Its all about mitigating risk...

About to do my first start soon but have to order a datalogit for my PowerFC and research research research. I am running a 13b-rew naturally aspirated with ITB's. Think it should be easier than tuning turbos?

Might end up hitting you guys up in a couple weeks. This was a "build it myself" car but this isn't my first rodeo. Went through complete disassembly, cleaning, replacing, and putting back together (Brand new OEM 13B-REW engine). So everything is serviceable or new. Just not a tuner by trade. Rather take it to someone with experience that can get the most out of it as its going to be my competition racecar.
