I'll be keeping an eye here. Maybe it was in your thread, Kilo doesn't tune them? I assume Petits about the only other option as far as shops go.. I need one myself. But i'm way up north.

Yea, the first time i went there. He told me that had been a while since he had a rotary. He is straight up too. You just have to be clear as far as relistic goal with the car, the same as other tuners I guess.
He still racing, but he still familiar with the PFC. You should check it out sometime. I will be going back to retune when i finished my new set up.

Yea I just want my car to be safe, not interested in maxing power. I know he's done a lot of my friends S2000 in town so I will definitely look him up since I know he can do it.
Let me know if you need anything too, im just south of orange park.

I should have replied to this. Sorry I am late.
Mike Lowe is still in Sarasota area and busy as hell. Mike did help me, but to be honest I had to do pretty much everything later myself.
My car is running damn near perfect. Good idle, 13s and 14s cruise and 11s and high 10s boost around 13 psi. Beautiful steps through the cells. The only thing I need to adjust is my twins transition they are still a little abrupt. That doesn't mean I couldn't keep it as is and be very pleased. I am pulling on some modern v8s on the expressway yet I believe it is still very conservative. I am running water inj also.
It took a lot of work to get to this point, but I am there!!
It is very difficult trying to find someone who knows wtf is going on and is actually willing to help. If someone in S FL needs help shoot me a pm.

Nice!! Although that makes me curious to what your dad had in that minivan lol. They seem very knowledgeable over there. No one anywhere seems to want and spend the time though.... even though they get paid (which I find odd). He definitely has some cool cars over there too.
I actually think a shop turning away customers is a good thing so they don't get stretched thin. Now if they are turning away a lot of customers, maybe they need to expand their business.
Back on PFCs, Since it's been around forever, you'd think some basic tunes would be readily available. Say for a stock engine with some bolt ons like a downpipe, hi-flow cat, aftermarket cat back, and an upgraded SMIC. Why does the wheel have to be reinvented every single time. Start with that and run some logs to make sure you're not maxing things out.

As for the pfc. It isn't about reinventing the wheel at all. It is about maximizing what you have and I truly think the majority have not come close to using the pfc to the fullest. I was going to swap ecu until I joined the tuning group. Learning a little here and there. Then FC-Tweak came along and made things extremely easy. While that program was being used I started researching a lot of other "tweaks" it made with the omp, smoothing out the cells, all the inj factors, tps enrichments,, ability to easily add soft cuts and not have to rely on just hard cuts, etc. Stuff that honestly I find it hard to believe anyone gets on their pfc from a "tuner" unless they are a pro and take the time to do it on their own car. Or k ow the guy they are doing it for. I could be wrong of course, but I like to think I am right lol.
I may add a failsafe on the AFR gauge which I was previously against as I didn't think it would act fast enough. I am now convinced other wise. Not saying it is full proof by any means, but it is definitely better than nothing.
There were "holes" in my map. Even while on the dyno we had a few issues which were all map related (the tuner never picked up on it), but running it through the program immediately picked up on the cells.
I could be wrong. I just know my car is hauliing ***, has awesome cruise afr, and seems to be very safe. Time will tell I guess.

@Testrun I agree, FC-Tweak has completely changed the PFC tuning game. I too have stellar cruising AFR in the 13s-14s and on boost the car is just fantastic in the 10.8-11 range. Xavier is a freaking genius and the program is worth every penny.
Hello,
I recently moved to Orlando and read this thread; I plan to take the same route as the OP. It seems like it's hard to find a tuner around here that works with the PFC, but after reading about the new FC-Tweak, I'm going to tune the car myself after getting past the learning curve. Maybe Kilo can help after I get a good base tune down; I heard he likes Microtech, so I might have to show him a few things. Anyways if there are any good threads or advice to help me get past these learning curves faster, I'd appreciate it.
