FJO Low Imp Injector Driver

Anyone any experience of this?

http://www.fjoracing.com/products/injdrvr/

I can find a few posts on the forum pointing out that it's available but I can't find any feedback from anyone who's actually using one.

Seems a nice solution to the 1600 injector impedance/lag problems. It'll also send a proper peak and hold signal to the injectors.

I've seen that before, but it's like $200 - ouch. Dunno how big of a difference it makes instead of just using resistors - hell, MANY manufacturers (including Mazda and Honda) have used injector resistor packs to run low impedance injectors.

In my oppinion its not worth the cash. Assuming your using a PFC. Resisters are perfectly fine to use. Other set ups or other injector combos, maybe it could see useing that but not with a pfc and 4 injectors.

I'm using one. When I spoke with FJO, I found out some good information and that is why I chose to go with the driver instead of the resistors. The primary reason was that using resistors induce a bit of lag while the driver does not, or at least that was what I was told.

I don't know if it works fully as I haven't tuned the car, but the car started up just fine with it installed.

Each box can send the signals to 4 injectors. If you have more, then you will need to buy another box. V8 people use two boxes.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I realise $200 is a fair chunk of money but the resistors just smack of being a bodge to me. Reading a few recent threads on resistors and 1600s it seems to me that the injectors aren't getting 1. the right strength of signal and 2. the right type of signal. Hence the difficulty in getting rid of the stumble at transition.
Attila, please let me know how you get on once you're tuned and running properly.

Scott, I think they can run multiple injectors, you can also run more than one of the fjo's.

In that case it seems pretty good. I am about to run 4 secondaries but would be flexable to allow more.

Someone who is an electrical-hobbyist could probably make one of these for about 5-10 dollars (not counting the fancy connectors). If you open the box, it's probably just a few components.

Anyhow, seems like it might be a solution worth trying out.
