fcedit real time update?

hi,
i will try to configure the water and air inj tables and i need to make some corrections continiusly.
my question:
can i make changes to the map with the fcedit software and update in real time the pfc?
i think the datalogit manual sayes to turn key off and then back on .

so i must turn off the engine, update the map and turn on again?

the fcedit software have an autoupdate check box. what is that?can this make update in real time without turn of the switch and back on?
thanks

yes you can update any time without having to restart

i don't recommend driving and tuning at the same time without a helper though!

You don't need to turn off the engine or even stop driving. Just press write all.

I think update only updates the tab your on. I always use write all though.

you can check the auto update box and everything you do will happen in realtime. I've done that for tuning tip-in settings and idle areas of the maps. Be careful with it though, you don't want to make a mistake and blow your motor. I would not recommend that for tuning heavy load driving. I always do "write all" for high boost tuning.
